Frenchman Léo Bouvier joins BIKE AID

Saturday, Sep 18, 2021 in Pro Cycling

With the 23-year-old Léo Bouvier, another rider from our neighboring country France is coming to BIKE AID. Léo will join the team for the remainder of the season.

For the rest of the 2021 season, the BIKE AID team will be strengthened with 23-year-old Léo Bouvier from Dijon. In particular, the sprint part of the team will be reinforced by the fast rider from the Bourgogne. Bouvier, who rode in the top DN1 team "SCO Dijon" for three years, was able to draw attention to himself in particular with stage wins at the Tour de Moselle and fourth place at the French amateur championship. The main focus now should already be on the 2022 season: “With Léo, we want to use the remaining races of the season to strengthen our team, especially with a view already to the new season. The races should already serve to give both sides the opportunity to get to know each other and to set the course for the future, ”said Timo Schäfer.

Léo Bouvier will make his debut at the Tour de Bretagne (UCI 2.2, 7 stages) that starts on Monday. “For me it is a great opportunity to compete with BIKE AID for the rest of the season and I am very happy about it. This opportunity motivates me enormously and I will give everything so that the team and my new teammates can achieve the appropriate success,” said Léo Bouvier, who will meet an old friend with Julian Lino.

“At the Tour de Nouvelle-Caledonie they both rode in a team and know each other very well. Julian has already established and integrated himself very well with us and made us aware of Léo's abilities. We are in good spirits and are very happy to welcome Léo to our place," Timo Schäfer concludes.
