Lucas Carstensen takes victory on stage 5

Thursday, May 24, 2018 in Pro Cycling

Sprinter Lucas Carstensen from Team BIKE AID won the 5th stage of the Tour of Ireland (UCI 2.2) today in a bunch sprint and takes another victory for BIKE AID.

After it had already been really close two days ago and Lucas Carstensen missed the victory only by a few centimeters, the sprinter could take the victory on the fifth stage today from Glengarriff to Mitchelstown after 150 kilometers.

The whole team had done an important and good job the whole day to have a sprint and position Lucas well in the final.

"Thanks again today to the team that has done a great job positioning me perfectly, and it's just great fun to be supported again and again this year in that way," Lucas said about the team performance.

Congratulations and good luck for the coming days!
